This app is easy, to the point, refreshingly minimalistic. Having this John Calvin commentary so readily available on my i. Pad makes my study so much more convenient, as I do not have to open and wait for the annoyingly long startup screens for Logos, Kindle, etc, to get to my other commentaries. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because my only nitpick is this: it is a bit frustrating to have to scroll through large portions of biblical text to find the corresponding commentary section. It would be a bit more convenient to have a verse's commentary right after said verse, instead of after the entire chunk of biblical text. Other than that, the app is wonderful.

What follows are some suggestions for features I would love to see; not to take away the otherwise outstanding work that's been put into this great resource. I agree with the other reviews that encourage the developer to allow for a decreased line spacing when the font is proportionally decreased. I like the book and verse selection format if the new ESV Study Bible update, rather than the scrolling wheel format. Since I'm not an app developer, I don't how hard it would be to weave in a word search function into the features, but I could imagine that as being very useful to me. My review is this; the books to which Calvin gives commentary to are incredibly easy to navigate to but not through. I think this app would be made perfect if instead of having to scroll down through the text to find the commentary, a link in the text relevant to the commentary could be clicked on and I be taken right to the commentary. Then vice versa to return to my text of which I can easily pick back up and then replicate this process as I read.
